Severnside Housing Contract

Severnside Housing Contract
Severnside Housing Ltd have appointed Vale Contract Services Ltd as their new grounds maintenance contractor from the 1 April 2008. The contract includes the maintenance of landscaping owned by Severnside Housing surrounding the housing stock and principally includes grass cutting, shrub bed maintenance, weed control, hedge cutting and hard area maintenance.

The contract is a five year contract and the overall aim is for the contract to be delivered with greater participation and input from tenants and a partnering approach to service delivery. Vale Contract Services are a specialist company providing grounds maintenance services to local authorities and particularly social housing landlords (RSL's) where they provide to other RSLs with similar service. The service will be delivered from a depot nearby and a local team will be established by Vale Contract Services to undertake the contract, including two staff who will transfer from Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council.
